Ana María Martínez featured in El Nuevo Dia

In advance of her performances of Cio-Cio-San in Ópera de Puerto Rico’s Madama Butterfly, Ana María Martínez sat down with Puerto Rican newspaper El Nuevo Dia for an exclusive interview. The Grammy-winning soprano spoke to Mario Alegre Barrios about her career, family, and the range of roles she has become known for, from the title roles in Rusalka and Carmen to Puccini’s teenage princess. Ana María’s upcoming appearances include Cio-Cio-San with Ópera de Puerto Rico, Musetta in La bohème at the Metropolitan Opera, the title role in Rusalka at Houston Grand Opera, and again as Cio-Cio-San at LA Opera.
