Ana María Martínez returns to Houston Grand Opera’s Madama Butterfly
Ana María Martínez’s first performances of 2015 take place in Texas, where she returns to the Houston Grand Opera’s Madama Butterfly. Originated by Michael Grandage, the production marked the soprano’s role debut as Cio-Cio San in 2010, which was praised by the Houston Chronicle as “gloriously sung and powerfully acted.”
Ana María is joined by Alexey Dolgov as B.F. Pinkerton, Scott Hendricks as Sharpless, and Sofia Selowsky as Suzuki in this upcoming run. Giancarlo Guerrero conducts. Click here for tickets.
