Ana María Martínez in concert with Plácido Domingo at the Teatro Real
This week, Ana María Martínez appears in Madrid for a gala concert with Plácido Domingo. A longtime artistic collaborator with Domingo, the Puerto Rican soprano (who won the Zarzuela section of Domingo’s Operalia competition in 1995) joins the operatic legend at the Teatro Real alongside conductor Alejo Pérez.
The evening of arias and duets will include musical moments from Verdi’s Il trovatore, Soutullo y Vert’s La del soto del Parral, and Penella’s El gato Montés. Ana María and Domingo last appeared at the Teatro Real together in 2011 as part of a gala concert celebrating Domingo’s 70th birthday.
